Webuye west MP has negected his constituency

Dan Wanyama who has represented webuye west constituency for fifteen years has nothing to show off, people from his constituency complain of his development records.

They claim their MP is always quiet in the parliament and there is no single day he has been in his constituency office. His constituency is left behind in terms of infrastructure, health and education.

Matisi Bokoli all through Teremi road, is a commercial road that residency depend on it for the transportation of goods and service. When it rains that road is impassable and their cry has hid the deaf ear of the MP who only visits during funerals to threaten those who try to question his development records.

The MP who has been in several Parliament committees especially that of sports, has never mentored or raised any sports activities in his constituency. Mazingira team which is led by Missionary Kimakwa has been organizing for sports activities once a year during the celebration of Christmas and new year.

Schools are build and renovated by the Alumni’s who have been mobilizing funds to make sure education in their former schools is going on with minimal disruption especially during hot season and raining season.

For example school like Miendo Primary school has never benefited from the MP despite the fact that he was born in Miendo Sublocation. The school has been at the mercy of Alumni’s.

The school which was in a dilapidated condition has new look courtesy of the Almuni. The Almuni spirit is moving across Webuye west to make sure all school upgraded to suit modern education. eg, CBC

Voters of webuye west constituency are traversing villages and their social media handles to bring civic education to the residency so that 2027 they will not repeat mistake they did for the past 15 years.

Led by youthful, strong and courageous Dan Saya who is using his own money to educate the community from elderly to youths. they have vowed for total change when it comes to 2027 general election.

Mr. Saya said “Some are even being used to deny us opportunities for civic education purposes in functions. I attended one function where I witnessed a few clergy men being bribed openly to deny me an opportunity to speak with a term ” huyo kijana ni mkora”. After a successful mission the so called mheshimiwa pays respect to their pockets. Let them know that we are not attending those functions to attack anyone, we just need chances to provide civic education to the public to avoid them being misled by politicians. And if they stand in our ways we shall do the necessary”.

In his statement it seems youths are having hard time penetrate with their civic education but he vows to continue despite the hostile reception from area leadership.

The MP who was seen and heard in a video at Miendo primary school threatening his competitors with dire consequences if they continue protesting.

He revoked the appointment of Mr. Peter as the chairman of Webuye west TTI and replaced him with Professor Boiboi threatening Peter not to stage any protest or use youths for his benefit.

He claims Peter has never supported anyone from his constituency a statement which was met by mixed reactions as people were left wondering if the MP himself has ever supported any person from his constituency.

On the support that the schools are enjoying from the Almuni the MP said “They are helping as anyone else that should not make them special”, the statement that was interpreted by the residency as demeaning and intimidating.
